Jill Smith

Jill has been a technology CEO for nearly 20 years, leading several private and public companies through transformation and growth. She served as Chairman and CEO of DigitalGlobe a provider of satellite imagery products and services globally, which she took public in 2009. She led Allied Minds, a UK-listed IP commercialization company and VC-backed eDial and SRDS. She also co-founded Treacy & Company, a consulting and boutique investment firm and held exec positions at Sara Lee in Paris, and Micron Electronics, where she was COO. She started her career at Bain & Company, where she worked in the London and Boston offices. Jill earned her M.Sc. from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Most recently, Jill has been effectively a full-time Non Exec Director serving on the boards of global public and private companies in the US and Europe, in addition to various non-profit organizations focused on education and poverty. She is passionate about diversity and supporting women, and actively engaged in accelerating progress in support of ESG. Jill is based in Boston, where she lives with her husband and son. Her personal and business travels have taken her to over 60 countries, and she speaks several foreign languages.
